I have tried to find the answer to this in previous posts but it seems to be a bit vague. Obviously in order to get an age related plate you need 2
out of 5 of the list of components. But how much of the orginal component needs to be built into the kit. I.e Will a GTS de dion with diff and drive
shafts from a sierra donor count as an 'axle'? Similiarly which parts of the 'steering' need to be used as the GTS specifies an
escort rack???? I am using a zetec and with the latest revelations (see CKC) I am keen to ensure I get an age related plate. Hope this makes sense.
Any help would be most appreciated.

i just told them that i took the following from the donor
front upright
steering rack and column,
engine, gearbox and prop
rear axle contain rear hubs, drive shafts and diff.
i think thats about 4 out of the 5 they requested, the only thing i didn't have was a V5 and for that simple fact, i got a Q plate

What latest revelations ? ? ?
The DeDion bit is an extra, you have used the complete rear axle (Diff, driveshafts, hubs and brakes) less the mounting frame, therefore for SVA/IVA the complete rear componants from the donor were used.
That photo's will be required of an engine in a donor vehicle if it differs from the original. Basically will I have to take a photo of the zetec in the sierra in order to complete enough of the 'components'.
