Hi guys,
Thought this might be of some use to you. Subscribers to the mailing list will already have received this.
I have been working on a build template for our use in the workshop, when building turn key cars. The biggest problem with building kit cars is
sourcing the parts, and having them all to hand when you have the time to work on the car. Missing a simple part can hamper the whole days build time.
So the idea behind the build template was to try and list everything required in a typcal build, including nuts bolts and washers. It acts as a
reminder of what parts you'll probably need for your build, so you can make sure to source them all ready for your next session. You can download
the build template here...
Kind regards,
Darren
Might even scare myself by adding on all the other items I have bought and putting the costs down and a total .....!
Then again the other half might see it so better not!
Cheers Darren,
Theirs a few things i had totally missed!
Would have been useful about 3 years ago!
But thanks anyway Darren!
Cheers,
James
got a similar spreadsheet myself from my research stage so would be useful to people starting out.
Personally the thing that slows me down is doing a job, then deciding I'm not satisfied with it and starting all over again - god only knows how
many times I repositioned the wiring loom in the car before I was happy with it
