And still not FMC Paul!!
Cuffed by 0.04 by a hundred grands worth of Evo. Let the locost brigade down but will beat him at Forrestburn next weekend. See you there
Looking Good
Toniq, why don't you have a run across to Forrestburn next weekend and I can check out this charger of yours?
183bhp is not enough
Nice driving, well done
Great video! Car looks great.
Might get over to Forrestburn this weekend.
Haven't crossed the door this year.
Cheers guys. Car going well, new stiffer rear end but need to revisit the arb design as that wasn't working.
Andy - 4th overall and a new class record by 0.5 that's 5 records this year
Zil - won't be the same if you are not there
I really need to get down South next year and get atleast Harewood in.

Yes he did and it was looking tidy. Anyone after a cheap classic Clan Crusader, give me a shout.
It was good to see him out and he was the first to congratulate me taking 0.5 off of his record.
A great weekend.
I did ask this Yesterday, but my post didn't appear by the looks of things..............
I asked.......does the car have a ProShift/Flatshifter or similar?
I also said........it looks bloody fast, and that's a bit of good driving!!
Doin well Paul! Your name is at the top of far to many class lists there should be a limit!
They have me down in B4 this weekend which is a mistake got to give John H a run for his money
John L said he was getting some new tyres lets see if the old man can push you a bit!

Hi all
I have a cable based MNR paddleshift with a flatshifter pro - flat up and blip on downshift. I plan to bin the cable over the winter and go to a
solenoid based max shifter setup.
I am guilty of over driving but the slicks let you get away with it. Really progressive and supposedly suits my aggressive "style"
John had his newer slicks and he got second but 1.8 behind me
Toniq - hopefully not too serious mate. Definately on the cards if I could do most of it myself. Would be interested in your experiences
some nice driving there,
how do you get it off the line so quick though, any gadgets helping out or is it simply first selected hold on 3/4 revs and up fast on the clutch.
I struggled to get off the line without stalling at a sprint at the weekend, which was my first one in the GSXR Indy
Mark
Mahoosive slicks help but I have developed a technique that's seems to work for me. I can't share it as Andy will start going quicker
If you watch my decent starts, I aim for 5.8k which is just before peak torque then increase the revs to peak torque while lifting the clutch (about
6.5k). I just lower the starting revs if in the wet and raise them if on a particularly grippy start line. Problem is that you are on a knife edge of
bogging down but when it works I get a flyer. The big Evo with gazillions of power and 4 wheel drive was only a few hundredths quicker to 60ft but was
a few car lengths up by the first corner.
Use the burn out area to test starts and not to get heat into the tyres, which is actually IMO a waste of time but gets your adrenaline up. Guys with
poorly prepared tyres think they can somehow clean them up on the start line and scrub the dead rubber off.
As for gadgets, I know of much more powerful cars with launch control that get better starts without using it. Keep practicing. My best 64ft time is
1.97 on slicks and a couple of 10ths slower on acb10's.
Cheers
Paul
