Title says it all really!
To shift some furniture and stuff, what kind of van can I hire, the bigger the better.
I only have a normal and bike licence.
And does anyone know how much they cost ?

depends when you got your license 3.5 after 1997, 7.5 before 1997

3.5t luton is about £75/day depending on part of country you live

Be careful, a 7.5 ton lorry is a big beast if you aren't used to it. Not one for awkward parking at either end IMO, though bimbling up a motorway isn't a problem beyond the boredom.

Yup but they are brill fun the first time you drive them. My missus loves them now but it is a bit weird that old gits like us who's reaction times are shot to heck are the ones who are allowed the exception!

Still great fun after some practice you can chuck them about like a mini!

It is just a short trip, nothing too technical, with short stretches of narrow lane where I'd get to look stupid and wait for the cars to reverse for me!

If it's for work purposes, you need an operators licence to hire a 7.5T these days. No bother if it's for personal use though.

Personally, unless you're used to driving at least a van, i'd go for a Luton transit. Much easier to keep yourself out of trouble than a Cargo if you're not used to them. Just watch out for low hanging stuff, it gets very expensive if you put holes in the box no matter what you hire.
