ricklawn - 9/7/08 at 03:33 PM

Just reinsured my daily driver BMW 5 Series estate and it cost me nearly £400.
Also whilst browsing pistonheads I found my ideal car. XJR 4l Supercharged £6500.
Typed details in to Confused.com for quote and it is only another £120 ontop of my Bmw insurance. BUGGER all i need do now is convince wife that i need a jag.
DOnt think it will work some how
Rick

I just got a quote for my son (19 and passed test) for our bog standard 1.1 Fiesta 1995 model.

The Cheapest is £2100. Crazy or what!

The car is only worth £300.

And he wants me to insure him in the Viento.... He has more chance of flying to Mars without a space rocket!

And the government and police wonder why there are so many uninsured drivers on the roads.

Definitely.......if they sus you out when you have a bump they'll either ask you for the additional premium for the last few years or more likely accuse you of policy frontin (which is technically a criminal offence by the way) and then refuse to pay you out. There getting much stricter on it nowadays too, some even have specialist software to search out possibles.

Not a right lot I wouldn't have thought. I bet you'll pay more in the admin fee than the actual additional risk they are taking on.
