The rubber seal that sits between the fuel tank and sender on my MK Indy is leaking...It's about 14 years old and so has started to give up it's sealing abilities.

I did take it off and try putting a seal of Hermetite around it but this only worked temporarily as it has started to let fuel seep out again (especially when the tank is full or going around right hand corners!).

Any idea where I can get a replacement seal? Or have people just made one up? What would you suggest to replace/reseal this?

I think it's nitrile rubber sheet you need.
Then cut a new one, if it's flat obviously!

Cheers - actually, found some info on search and Vitron seems to be the one to get for unleaded fuel use.

I used some cork sheet to seal mine

Cork Rubber sheet/ Gasket material Nitrile Bonded 1.5 x 200 x 100mm

Yep I think you're right nitrile might not be best for new fuels!
