GTS GT 40
I have been looking around on the Mid engine forums for some info and found a GT 40 build page .A Frenchman is building a GT 40 and has used bodywork
supplied by Darren George at GTS.
I remembered there being discussion about a cheap to build GT40 being made by GTS but didn't think it had ever got off the ground, its not
exactly cheap though as the prices I saw for the basic body work came to about £3000 plus another £2000 for a chassis

The bodywork and chassis is expensive compared to a "seven" due to there being about 3x the metal and a hell of a lot more fibreglass in
the bodykit.

£5000 is cheap for a chassis and full body work, check out the prices from other manufacturers.
I was very tempted to buy the GTS GT40 kit a while ago, however a £3000 deposit and GTS's reputation
for customer(non)service made me see sense.

I think £5000 is ok for a GT40 basic kit and did consider Darrens one, however there is no such thing as a cheap GT40 build, trans axle, engine,
wheels and tyres, rads, zircon etc will treble the original cost with ease

I saw one being built up at GTS. Hell of a lot of work goes into the chassis and the moulding. Looked good.

there was an Audi quatro 2.7 on the Bay last night which should provide an adequate drive train as they use a trans axle

Darren's had quite a bit of work out of making the gt40 bodywork, looks very reasonable

Just a pity Darren isn't I've had good quality parts from miles better than 2 other leading manufacturers. I did see CalvinX's
axle though. Darren lost a BIG fan there.

He didn't weld it tho, it was made by another company. Back in the early days he farmed out his bits to someone else.
Ive personally seen the gts gt40 and it's chassis and bodywork are spot on
