Bushes and trailing arms
Hi,
Does anyone know what internal diameter tube the GTS polybushes will fit into?
My "locost" supplied front bones have 25mm internal diameter tube and I'm trying to sort out my bushes (ooo errr).
Does anyone also know the external diameter of the eyes on the end of the GTS trailing arms with poly bushes fitted as I am hoping they will fit the
"locost" brackets already fitted to my chassis which have an internal distance of 42mm between walls.
If not, looks like I'm going to have to buy some GTS brackets for the rear and try any cut the old ones out.
Thanks,
Pat...

Correct size for Triumph Herarld Rubber bushes QH Ref Y419 --- Rimmer Brothers or any other Triumph parts specialist can supply.
My tubes are 36 long with 24 mm ID with 25.5 ID "lead in" at one end to make pressing home in a vise easier.

Thanks BT.
Do you think the rubber bushes will be better than the "locost" poly affairs?
If so, that's my front end sorted.
Cheers,
Pat...

Should be fine the rubber is pretty tightly compressed on mine ---- swine to press bushes home I had to make a special tapered tool to guide them in
smoothly.
