Ground Clearance and suspension set up
What sort of ground clearance are people running?
I had a look at mine, as it looked a little low, and I seem to have about 4" to the bottom of the chassis at the front, and about 5" at
the back.
However I only have 3" clearance to the bottom of the sump/bellhousing (both same level) which I am guessing to too low for road use, it
certainly doesnt look much!
There's no preload on the front springs at the mo, so I can raise it up...question is how much?
Second question, what settings should I be looking at using on the front suspension with respects to camber, toe etc?

I would suggest 100mm or 4" in old money is about the minimum you want to run (when laden) as speed bumps are (supposedly) a max of 100mm high
& you'll look really silly with your car perched on the bellhousing rocking back & forth & oil all over the road
Tis also fairly important if flat bottomed to be sloping up towards the rear or it may bring a whole new meaning to "the car was absolutely
flying today!"
Don't forget that tyre pressures & large drivers/passengers can make quite a difference to these figures.

Run mine with 75mm clearance to the bottom of the gearbox/flywheel with no problems. Springs are pretty stiff mind you!
Why not suck it and see?

I dont want to take my sump out, some of the roads at home are pretty (read as very!) bumpy! (Some people from the area would back me up on this!). My
springs are 180 on the rear and 275 on the front, I think. (Whatever I got with the kit!
Thanks gents, think i will lift it a bit, just to 4" and see how i get on.

play safe and fit a sump guard.Knocked mine up from 5mm chequer plate
