GTS March Newsletter
Hi all,
Things have been mega busy at GTS again this last month, and we have thankfully finished all the developments that were pending last month. The
rebuild of the demostrator is firmly underway, its being rebodied in black and will feature all of our new development pieces. Due to the rebuild of
the demo car, i'm more easily contacted on my mobile phone at present, and you can get me on 07859005985 and i can take orders and answer
queries anytime on this. You don't have to restrict yourself to business hours either, calls are welcome anytime the phone is switched on!
The European Kit Car show at Detling, near Maidstone, in April will see us building a kit live over the weekend! We hope to have one of the magazines
drive it from the hall and take it for an immeadiate test drive for an article in one of the later editions of the magazines. If you want to attend
then the date is April 2-3rd. Come and say hi for complementary chocolate hob nobs! Due to building the car on the stand i won't be taking large
quantities of stock to sell at the show, however if there is something in particular you want to collect from me there then please let me know in
advance and i'll get it sorted for you.
After Detling we will be arranging a test drive event for those people interested in the Locost kit. More news on this to follow after the show.
We have confirmed our place at this summers most exciting kit car event TotalKitCar Live! We will be there with both the Locost and the Challenger,
but, also one of the new silouette race cars. At this event it will be possible to book a test ride in one of these machines around the famous Brands
Hatch Indy circuit. Admission for the public is just £5.
Our double bubble Aeroscreen has just been finished, and later next week, we will have completed the new demo car, and fitted the screen ready for
photographing, so if you interested send me a request for the pics, or check out the website later next week.
The new carbon effect dashboards are selling like hot cakes and receiving rave reviews all round. We will have a stack of them available to buy at the
European kit car show at Detling in April, or as ever you can buy online at www.gtstuning.co.uk
The first items from the +4" bodywork range are starting to emerge from the moulds. These items are suitable for those building cars to the
McSorley+4 Locost plans. They also suit our new W7DE kit which is McSorley based but using a wider version of the DeDion rear suspension. The first
customer W7DE kit is to be delivered this week.
Which Kit Car this month have several news items on GTS. Both the Challenger and the Locost have nice reviews in the Which Kit Car Guide, and there
are a couple of news stories in the latest magazine also.
The little black headlamps that are so very popular are now supplied with E marked glass, as are the chrome versions, making them even easier to put
through SVA. I have a large stock of these and they can go out immeadiately.
The components for the Sierra upright Wilwood Powerlite conversion are now in and the disc options are plain, cross drilled or grooved. These are
fantastic forged aluminium calipers and they are just £79.50 each, details of the kit will appear in the next few days on the website.
Thats it for this month. Check out the website www.gtstuning.co.uk for the full range of products. If you don't see it then ask, because if we
don't make it we probably can and will. Don't be afraid to ask, we love to react to customers demands.
Kind regards,
Darren George

All sounds good Darren, all the best for the busy looking times ahead and dont let any of the other manufacturers do away with any of the vital bits
of your weekend show build!

Darren,
Following on from your comments in the newsletter about the little black headlights, I have just fitted the ones I bought from you a little while ago
and posted a few pictures for other's to see on this
thread.
However, there seem to be some concerns that the beam pattern may not be compliant with SVA and I would appreciate your comments. Lots of people, like
myself, like the style of the lights and if the SVA issues can be resolved I think you may well receive a few extra orders.
Cheers,
Craig.

The beam pattern issue has been mentioned many times with regard to these headlights, and it concerned me enough at the start to tell everyone that
they were not SVA compliant.
However, at Exeter a customer of mine told me he had got the lights through SVA, and i have not heard of any other customers failing the SVA with
them.
Premier Wiring Systems also sell the same lights and are significantly more clued up on these issues and they tell me they are SVA compliant and have
had no problems with the ones they have sold.
Further more the black headlights are now coming through with E-marked lenses, as well as the chrome ones, and this takes away another potential area
of doubt.
So basically, so far no one has had a problem getting through SVA as far as i know. I have sold around 20 pairs, and Premiers have sold many more. The
only feedback i have received so far is that they successfully passed the SVA test with one of my customers.
Read into that what you will.
Kind regards,
Darren
