Is it free to get in if your in a kit car?

If this is the case do you have to park on the grass or the access roads?

Free entry to drivers of kit cars (passengers genarally have to pay) is normal practice. Once in you either park on a club stand that your a member of (MK Owners, etc) or there'll be a general kit car area. They'll both be on the grass usually.

Ijust spotted Clive's (jollygreengiant) post here...

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=95558&page=1

"'Hi Clive,
Camping is on a field to the RHS of the actual showground (not shown on map). Cost is £15 per pitch. We don't mind owners club tents to go along with the clubs, but no campers in the display area please.
The camping area is accessible 24/7. Yes you can set-up on Friday.
Campers can walk into and out of the showground unhindered. The gates to the actual showground will be opened at 8am both days.

Kind regards,
Den Tanner' "

Camping is going to be £15 per pitch!

My plan (weather permitting) is...early start (8ish) from Manchester/Stockport, M56, A556, A49 to Prees Heath. BIG greasy breakfast at the "Raven Cafe" (A41/A49 junction) about 9-9.30 then on to Stafford on the A41, A518. Bit of a long way around but a more " interesting" route.

Anybody fancy making it a convoy?

Just come back from the Stafford show. It was a nice day out but quite a small show. The hall was full of stands and the field full of cars but then it is a small hall and small field.

The highlight of the show was the Vindicator F4. Ooo that's a unique car!

As above, it was a good day for a run out and I enjoyed it, but I think I would have been disappointed if I had had to pay to get in.

Vindicator F4 ...... they are having a laugh with that one ... surely the can't seriously think someone's going to buy that.

Now the MEV Sonic 7, that is a nice car, easy to find donor too.

Cheers

I had a great ride out via Cheshire and Stafordshire (inc, breakfast) and return via the Peak District. 160 miles in all.
The show was OK if a little quiet. Needed a bit more promotion I think and an icecream van or two.
I can't see the Vindicator F4 selling (or what 'screen they're going to use) but then I don't like their other cars either.
The MEV Sonic7 was really nice design and an easy looking build. I can see that selling; might even be tempted myself!

SVC and Europa only had 1 stand each. There was a stand selling rubber profiles and a couple selling tools. 2 small nut and bolt stands, a few odd things, one of exhaust bits, one selling the DIY powdercoating tools.

Both MNR and Europa said it was a bit slow. For Europa, that generally means they're not queueing 3 deep.

That was it in a nutshell. I had a nice drive home the long way round. It was a rare warm sunny day and a mooch round a small show was quite pleasant.

I drove 350 miles all round. I was a little disappointed to be honest but in my mind I thought it'd be Donny combined with Stafford - not really the case!

Really good to meet up with people though and I took loads of photos of Adi's Fury - Cheers Adi!

Exeter I think is next on the calendar...Is anyone going? I'm hoping to take KC to that one!

Exeter's a bit too far for me. Sorry I didn't get to speak to you. Hope you didn't photo the bloody great chip I put in the rear wing this week; dropped a 17" wheel on it!

That's ok Adi - I should have popped into the tent and said hello.

Didn't spot the chip but not downloaded the photos off my camera yet!

Cheers!

Thought it was a load of shite personally. Sod all stalls. On the Sunday some started packing up at about 3 and by half three they were doing it in droves (said 4:30 on the adverts). By 4pm it was dead.

Considering I got there at a 2pm (due to putting an engine in) I was a bit miffed to say the least.
