Bit of Progress
Hiya guys,
Thought that i should post about some progress that i managed this weekend, having had part of Christmas marking and getting all my aluminium panels
cut. This weekend we finally got down to rivetting them all. 4mm Rivets were alot harder than expected but i got the hang of it after a while...

This evening i have tried to mockup the front suspension with my cleaned up and painted uprights, but have decided not to put on my old dirty discs
from the sierra and order a new pair. Hopefully i will have them later this week and be able to put the front on wheels...

Now to cut the holes in my side panels for the suspension to go through.
Also i have decided to go down zetec route, and am just organising a day to go and pick up my new 1.8 zetec.
I have had some problems with my rollcage and realised that i can't fit a small steering wheel and have enough space for a hand and a bit more.
Which is quite a pain so next week i am going to move the cage to go on the outside of the chassis and bolt through the bodywork...

Thats looking good, A shame about the cage though. Is that something that you've fitted or as standard, I'd have thought some what of a
design flaw if its standard.
The chassis is looking good with the panels on but I hate to be the one to tell you but you'll probably struggle now to get your wiring, fuel
and brake pipes fitte in the tunnel now its all boxed in.
My Indy is nearing completion and my tunnel is still open at this point.
Good luck with the build, Looks great so far.

Thanks for all the great comments
About the cage ~ not sure if you know darren at gts but I believe it to be one of his messups and he has basciasly said we can move column of centre
if needed and small wheel and there's enough room... I am just going to move cage and get it done with
About wiring , brake lines, fuel pipes I'm going to have to deal with problem later and hope we can squeeze it all in and worst case is we drill
out one transmission tunnel..
Brake lines we hope to do soon so will find out then

Looking good Eddie.
One word of advice, I would split the panel above the footwells in two along the centereline of the car. Rivet down the passenger side one as this can
be used to stand your battery etc on.
The one on the drivers side fix down with a couple of bolts into rivnuts. This makes it really easy to remove to get at the pedals. It is a nightmare
to try and attach cables etc upside down and in the dark.

looking good mate, nice a clean.
but i did tell you that you will strugle, with the transimisson tunnuel covered in to, get you wirring, fuel and brake pipes in.
and you have decide to get new disc noe then.
keep up the good work mate, keep me informed mate.

Looking good - I remember it being a really satisfying stage fitting the panels
NB - Flak's comments on leaving the drivers footwell panel removable - excellent advice. It's a right PITA trying to get at the pedals
otherwise - think scraped knunckles, knees, ears and elbows + cramp and much much cussing

Regarding brake lines, fuel pipes and electrics. I have had a think and am going to do brake lines and electrics on one side and fuel pipes on the
other side but all at the top of the transmission tunnel so shouldnt be to much of a problem drilling and getting to them all... Regarding the panel
above the feet, will think about it. Sounds like a good idea but i was thinking of running electrics along that panel as with battery etc..
