Windows Vista Business - what it contains?

dumbo quesiton - I'm trying to find out what applications come part of Windows Vista Business.

i.e. Word, Internet Explorer, Media player (play/record CD & DVD)

Is there a list somewhere?

^^^ yes, in other words no applications.

presumably Word and similar stuff can be purchased for not too much money to install on vista?

Word (depending on the version) isnt' necessarily cheap. You could use Open Office instead, which is completely free - go to www.openoffice.org. The latest version can open the latest version MS Office files as well, iirc.

Sons girlfriend has just got a new lappy with Vista Business on.

I installed open office for her, as her firm uses the microdaft office for work.

Totally compatible, no problems, and in fact it looks far superior to microdaft office anyway.

Word doesn't come with any versions of Windows, it's an Office product.

Note that the European version of Vista Business doesn't come with media player either, though it can be downloaded.
