Ooooh - nasty!

He's lost a wheel along the way too... that's going to cost a penny or two to fix...

I think lucky bloke, if he hit the bridge or the tree head on that would've been a lot nastier. And he didn't submerge, I don't know how fast you can unbukle when under water in panic, but you might not

Real shame. I think I read about it in Blatchat. He'd just rebuilt it / fitted a new engine too!

It wasn't the drivers fault, if you look along the road there is a sign that clearly says......

wait for it.....

thats a real shame, but as others have said it could have been a lot worse - for the car and driver! hopefully not too painful to rebuild again especially when considering he could have gone full on into the bridge or tree!

i think he flooded the engine too.

Sorry for the rubbish jokes, but it looks like it could have been a lot worse, and we all like to lighten the mood. They are not meant to be hurtful to the driver (or should that be DIVER )

omfg

looks like they tried to pull it out using the rollbar, probably tearing the bar straight off, might even twisted the chassis then

If the roll bar does that with the weight of a car on it, then in a crash that rolls the car where the forces are a lot higher you might as well stand up and wave to the road with your face as have one fitted.

Just checked the pictures on photobucket (link on blatchat) and they did pull it out on the rollbar, but the rollbar was still attached to the car when it was on the lorry, also there was less damage when it was on the lorry then there is now on Ebay, so don't know what happened afterwards

but I won't be payin that kind of money for some scrap metal. On Photobucket you can see clearly that the chassis is hit at the bottom, so +2kŁ for a wet zetec, gearbox and english axle and a few small parts???

this kinda thing makes me feel ill.

being a non-swimmer and almost drowning playing on a tree swing over a river as a kid, i tend too steer clear of water unless its for drinking or bathing in.

everytime i go near a river now in my car i'll be breaking into cold sweats thinking about this thread

happy days

driver and passenger where very lucky though,

by the way..

the dip your headlights joke made me LOL
