Anyone built a bicycle trailer?
Just wondered if anyone on here had ever built a trailer to be pulled by a bicycle? And if so if they used plans and where from?
I know I could get one reasoably cheap on ebay but I also want a little project to learn to weld on.
Thinking of doing Rotterdam to Zeebrugge on the bikes but got a bit too much kit for just panniers.

There'a a pic of a cool bike trailer on Graeme Obree's website.
Wait and I'll find it.
Here we go.
If it's good enough for the fastest man in the world. :-)

I take it that's as the crow flies? We're planning on deviating from the direct route significantly, aiming for around 20 miles a day

I made a bike trailer for a school project... Designed it myself, spaceframe chassis, attached to the bike seat. Unfortunately i panelled it with MDF
which made it heavy, but just do your own spaceframe chassis with netting or likewise

I made one when I was about 15 out of dexian strips I'd scrounged from a local factory and two old BMW wheels. Worked a treat. Didn't
have a digital camera in those days but my Mum may well have pictures of it if you're really interested!
