Measurment required
Can anyone tell me what is the distance rom TR9 to the center of the gear stick so it dosent hit the the dash etc. I am using a toyota T50 gear box

You need to shorten the gear lever or it will hit the dash. The T50 gearlever is closer to the firewall than that of the Ford transmission. The 4AGE
engine can not be moved further to the rear to solve the problem especially if using the FWD version.

thanks for reply tho I am not using a 4ge I am using a 4k engine

Don't know that engine, just move the engine as far back as the engine or transmission will allow leaving at least 70 mm from the firewall and
transmission tunnel to allow for engine movement.

The original Lotus gearshift levers were only about 100 mm long.
