Lithium battery

Hey everyone,

Just noticed this on pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=1402052&nmt=

200g for a 7Ah 12v battery and forty quid. Wonder whether that would be enough for the BECs?

A 200g battery would be a considerable weight saving for most people!

The leads look small compared what we would normally expect for carrying enough current to start a car.

Not convinced you'd get enough current from that to spin over an engine for more than 1 rotation...

Me neither, I'd like to be proved wrong though!

Latest radio control car batteries can supply a couple of hundred amps for their entire discharge. On a 5Ah battery, that is 90 seconds or so? Granted that would be at 9 volts on the 11.1v battery.

Shame they weren't around when I was into RC cars as a teenager. All we seemed to do was charge NiCd batteries endlessly.

It seems awfully cheap for a 50C 7Ah 12v battery. Very flat too... If it's real I can see myself getting some of those for my flying wings to make 6S 6Ah packs.
200g seems awfully light.
Not sure- seems too good to be true...
