hayabusa transmission differences

Currently undergoing a bottom end rebuild of a gen 2 engine. I have a full set of gen 1 spare transmission, but didn't realise that there are apparently differences between gen 1 and gen 2?

My engine builder wants to order an entire set of gen 2 transmission parts which I guess is going to cost a lot (radical have quoted 2.5k). I was under the impression that all my gen 1 engine spares would work with a gen 2 output shaft. Does anyone have experience in this area who can offer advice? Many thanks.

The output shaft on a Gen2 is bigger and stronger than the Gen1.

Gears on the Gen2 are back cut too i believe.

Apparently you can fit a Gen1 Transmission in to a Gen2, and with a quick search it can be done. But its a backwards step in a case of strength and reliability, it requires spacing for correct engagement... apparently.
