rear suspension
Hi I am building the escort version of the build your own sports car for £250
just a question on the rear suspension brackets on the M1 AND M2 bars,
COULD THE SUSPENSION BRACKETS BE PUT ON THE K3 AND K4 what is the reason for putting them on the M1 and M2

I can think of a couple of reasons;
The trailing arms would be much shorter, resulting in a very tight arc under extension and compression. This would change the rear track as you went
round a corner (I think the car would feel like it was permanently oversteering).
K3 and K4 aren't vertical, which means A) you'd either have unequal length arms to compensate, or B) if you stick with equal length and
rotate the axle fixings to a parallel angle, the upper arm will hit the axle under compression.
