Buying a GTS Panther
Hi All,
I'm thinking of buying a GTS Panther with a Zetec fitted, The car is road legal etc.
I notice there isn't much action in the GTS forum, is there anything I should know about these models before throwing good money away ?
Cheers

Long story short.
Darren George the original owner designed/made some great products and took lots of people's money but rarely delivered the goods. His name is
mud polite version
There was some problems with out sourced components.
The business was sold on a year or two back.
The car has very nice lines and looks as good as any of the commercial kits imho.

Thanks,
Any idea if would be difficult to source spares for it IE body panels etc ?
I assume the mechanical side should be like buying for another kit, wouldn't have to be specific to the GTS range ?

The guy that bought mine managed to buy a new bonnet from the new owners just before Xmas.
Chassis is more or less standard "book" the rear bulk head is 1" higher than book as is the nose, bonnet and scuttle to allow 16v
engines to fit with out cut outs.
You won't see many others at a show.

There good cars, the issues were around getting parts to build them, even that was a mixed bag though expecetedly more bad reports than good.
That's not a propblem for you so you could have yourself a good car all else being equal

The Panther is a great car, as people are saying getting parts was a bit hit and miss for builders.
Having said that I never had any issues.
Yorkie on here also has one.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

They are good cars.
The issues I had were with GTS supplying the original kit and then discovering the wishbones were for Cortina uprights instead of the Sierra ones
ordered.
I believe spares are available from the new owners but I haven't dealt with them.
I have had wishbones and trailing arms from Danny.
