You're not wrong, sling in a zetec and bosh job done, or more simpler, throw the dodgy leccies away and fit a dizzy.

i wouldnt call it cheap...i would call it "priced a bit on the lower side":
but:
1. its a non-runner
2. who wants a x/flow engine nowadays ?
3. as its too young, there is no interest from outside UK (which often pushes the price to a non-typical UK level)
putting all this into consideration the price is more on an average level.

Sorry but I still disagree. Find me another professional designed '7' style car that is road and track proven for this price in this
condition? Other than home made cars this is a rock bottom priced car. To me the Striker is equal to (if not better) than a Westfield but sadly the
price rarely seems to reflect this there is a written off 5 year older Westfield on eBay for more than this!
The old engine is possibly a bonus for MOT time once it's been swapped for a Zetec which is a cheap easy swap

1 year ago a mate of mine bought a x/flow powered striker, condition "as new", with fresh mot for 3500
similar time another striker, a bit scruffy, but highly tuned x/flow with all the "good" things thrown into the car for track use,
underneath (chassi, suspension) the car was spot on, was sold with a fresh mot for 2900.
as long as foreign buyers do not mess around on the market, the values for kitcars are really low.
also, the mainstream buyer for a sevenish-car wants the car to look like a typical seven....so all those buyers (which is the majority) dont focus on
sylva“s.

people buying ther first seven wont buy it as sylva doesnt look sevenish enough for them.
people buying their 2nd or 3rd seven wont buy it because it has an x/flow (such people want to upgrade, as they already had x/flow powered cars)
people from abroad dont buy it because its not re-homologateable outside UK.
its at beginning of the kitcar season, so nobody will buy it now, doing a zetec conversion, as potential buyers want to enjoy it...winter was time for
spannering, now its too late.
so who, at the end of the day, would buy it?

I am not saying they don't sell for this price....just that they are under-valued at this price
Also not sure what overseas buyers has to do with it (I know you are overseas and have nothing against you or any other overseas buyer) but these are
cars built in the UK, for the UK and as such the majority still sell to UK Buyers. Not sure why overseas buyers should/could push prices down?
Anyway this car sold quickly because it was so cheap (and looked well made plus cheap/easy to bring up to modern standards)....if it was £1000 more
would it still have sold....I suspect yes
I may be biased (having owned Strikers for 20 years now I guess that should read 'I am biased' but I still think they are undervauled
when compared to equal performance alternatives

I emailed the guy the day it popped up on here, it was gone before the weekend. I couldn't even get to it before it sold....
I sold my striker only a couple of years ago for nearly 2k more. It was very cheap!
