still, they don't make them anymore.
i think they were made by a friend of the family, who for reasons unbeknown to me (can't remember, sorry) stopped making them.
you can buy mine though, seeing as i've bent the M6 thread. seriously though, the bolt cropper type shape ones are supposed to be good and seem
to pull the rivnut up straight and true.

there two makes of nutsert/rivnut tool on my local toolshops. one by laser tools that is m3-m6 for about £20 and one by eclipse somebody for £47 which
is the one bought, heavier duty and does m4-m8. also see car builders solutions and zygology.com

He's retired.
Their machinist, that is. I think it was an old guy who did it in his machine shop at home. My local bolt supplier has the M8 pincer type at £40.

well pete, would you believe down in surrey, one tool shop, 5 miles from the one i bought the tool from at £47 had it marked up at £94!!! i just
walked out...
