Ford Mustang Fuel Tank Recall

Hi All,

Just asking this on behalf of a friend of mine, he has a mustang with fuel tank issues (he suspects).
I seem to remember a recall on either fuel tanks or fuel pumps for mustangs, does anyone know any more about any recalls that are taking place?

Thanks in advance,
Nick

He had been having the trouble pre "tesco silicon fiasco" season, and it seems to be fuel not flowing between baffle chambers in the tank, or the pump not working as it should.

Cheers for the recall website, will check it out now.

Just a thought, will he have issues getting work done on a recall as they're not sold in the UK?

Are they sold in the UK? I just assumed that they were all imports...

I've not read the recall list, but seem to remember reading that the modification related to dificulties filling the car with fuel, rather than what happened after it was in it.

yeah saw that just a little while ago, the fill rate was too low and it was a "click click click" refilling experience apparently.

I've been doing some more reading on mustang import forums and it looks like you've got buckleys chance of getting a dealer to sort out TSBs or recalls when the car isn't sold in the country. Which makes sense of course, I just hope that they'd have the decency to sort critical issues rather than have customers pay with injury or loss of life.

Anyhow thanks for all the help!
