OT. Aquiring Magnesium

Im Seriously into unusual photography and have come up with an unusual scheme in my head for some interesting pics..

However, My lunatic scheme requires some magnesium ribbon that I can set fire to to provide a brilliant white light and some smoke.. All in a controled environment I hasten to add...

but, appart from robbing the local school (like taking candy from a baby and all that)...How and where does one get pure magnesium?

or some magnesium wheels. Might need a bit of shaping

Is that kind of magnesium pure enough to burn like you would expect it to?

Unobtainium swarf goes well, especially if WD40 has been used as a cutting lube.

One of my local pubs still has a dark patch on the ceiling, just under where an ashtray used to be.

We had to drink by feel that night, and finding the barmaid was interesting.

For those who already know how to make it, no explanation is neccesssary and for those who don't.........you are missing a great experience.
