FS: 1.8 K Series Engine from MGF

Anyone need one of these?
Its from my girlfriends MGF which took a diversion into the scenery over xmas thanks to an icy corner...
Done 93k miles, recent service with oil, filter plugs etc - receipts to show replacement head gasket and head skim within the last 2 years.
Never used any oil or water - used to pull very well in the MG and gave surprisingly good MPG too.
Its the non-VVC model and is curently in the car so can be heard running.
£300 including ECU, battery, wiring, gearbox, subframe + anything else you want from the shell - i.e radiator, fan etc.
Be quick though, we are moving again and need the space asap!
All offers considered - its gotta go!

oooh, I would be tempted as an upgrade if you weren't in the frozen north (whereas I am in the frozen south

Whats the front end like? I'm just thinking you've got pretty much a starter kit to a build your own midi there!

Its all there at the moment, all the brakes - running gear etc is all ok - the front and rear are on separate subframes too - could be an easy one if
you didnt want to fabraicate wishbones etc!

Coo that would drop strainght into a Metro.... A Wolf in sheeps clothing.
A mate of mine did that... and it went well.
EDIT:
The hard part was the electronics (ECU) and security. He had some chap do that bit for him.
But you could always Megasquirt it.

Is the 1.8 the same size physical size as the 1.4 then?

Yes, the 1.8 has longer stroke and bigger bore, but shorter rods so external dimensions are the same.
If you were a bit more local I'd have snapped your hand off, planning a K series installation for the Striker.
Hope the girlfriend came out of the experience unscathed

She did thanks. Pride damaged but otherwise ok - means she gets to drive our old landy everyday instead though so every cloud......!
