value of webbers?
Flick - 5/7/10 at 09:15 PM

Hi

A set of twin webber 40's with throttle linkage, new k&n filters, zetec manifold (needs one stud replacing), facet fuel pump and fuel king regulator. They are all in good condition. Assuming they need a basic service and setting up anyone got any rough ideas on value..............
oh by the way they are for sale if any one is intrested

Thanks

40's go for less than 45's but on eBay you should get £200+

normally about £200 just for the carbs though isn't it?

Put them on ebay yesterday and have a couple of guys both offer round the £300 mark...............

I love ebayers.......... if they are offering £300 already leave them on there, then they will have to fight it out between themselves ££££

or if there in a hurry to get them they will offer someone else £300 and you could lose out...

sometimes better not to be gready.

Yes a pair in good condition is worth £300.... and 45's a little more.

Yes, I agree.
However, I think I will let them run to be fair on the others intrested. If I end up getting less then so be it.

I sold my twin 40's on e bay last year and got £250 for the pair. I was pleasantly surprised at the time as I thought bike carbs had knocked the value of webbers down.
Good luck with the auction
