Bargain for somebody!!

My father in law needs to replace his V reg 2.0 Mondeo with something smaller - something that might perhaps fit thro' some of the gaps he's been aiming it at
The car is all there, I've maintained it for the last 5 years or so & mechanically it's excellent with the exception of the clutch which is slipping badly - the reason for deciding to finally change the car.
Many of the body panels have some minor damage due to him using it as a dodgem (except dodging wasn't what it was best at) it has a new front bumper which has been painted by someone who I assume is registered blind (nice!) & there are several other "quality" touch ups on the car!
If you wanted a reliable "banger" to run around in for a couple of years, then just bung a clutch in it (yes, I know it's not a 5 minute job!) & use it, it's MoT'd till Sept has decent tyres on it, a new CAT fitted last year & a set of alloys that have been somewhat kerbed! Alternatively it has an excellent 2.0 Zetec engine (& gearbox should you need it), loads of other useful spares & would weigh in for scrap for about £70 for the car & £35 for the alloys so if you flog a few other bits off it (like electric window motors) you could have a "free" engine.
I've told him it's worth around £300 if he's lucky, so I'm sure he'd take somewhat less than that, it could be driven away, but even with care I'm not sure just how far it will go on the clutch so a mate with a tow rope might be useful!
The car is currently at Bromsgrove Worcs - literally about a minute off the M42, anyone who's interested, don't contact me as I'm just off on holiday, give my brother in law, Paul, a ring on 07769 226347 he's local & can give you a better description of anything you require.
Seriously, if it wasn't for the clutch it's the sort of car you could just jump in & drive from here to Timbuctoo & have a reasonable expectation of getting there (Rust to Rome or similar???), & I have no reason to expect that it would be any problem getting thro' the next MoT (or2!).
I'd like to think it could do someone on here a favour, rather than going elsewhere.

Great cars. I drove one of my mondeos with a knackered clutch for a while. The technique is to do at least 70mph downhill then you might (and I say might) get up the other side at about 20mph.
Incidentally I scrapped one of my mondeos last year and got 128GB$'s (sorry not got a pound sign for some reason) for it (steel wheels). Then they let me take out the battery and wiper blades because they were new, the front seats for my pc racing simulator, seatbelts for my engine hoist sling, rear wiper motor for my other mondeo and the wheel nuts for the locost.

Forgot to mention, battery is only about a year old - starts on the button everytime!
