FS: Myford Super 7 Lathe
rayward - 5/8/10 at 08:09 PM

I know of a myford super 7 for sale,

partially stripped, but all there

on myford stand, with a couple of chucks (3 jaw/4jaw) and some extras.

3 phase motor, so that would need changing if you wanted to use it at home

i've already got one, so no use for it

the guy is looking for offers around £350

Hi

That is a good price.!!! I have a large Harrison but wouldn't do without the Myford for the smaller jobs. And wouldn't worry about it being 3 phase. Just get an inverter as they are only £200- £300 depending on how much control you want Inc variable speeds Etc.

Cheers Matt

For information - it would be VERY easy to change the motor to a single-phase one - might need to change the motor switch - but I wouldn't be surprised if it could be modified to work with single phase.
