7.5 Tonne Race Transporter
snakebelly - 26/7/11 at 09:46 AM

Due to a change in direction and my race partner not being old enough to drive the lorry we have decided to downgrade to a trailer and transit so our faithfull reliable race truck is up for sale:

F Plate Ford Cargo 0813

No rot at all on the Cab, i should know i spent months on welding repair panels and fitting fibreglass wings!

Resprayed approx 4 years ago, couple of bits need touching up but once cleaned looks very presentable

1 Ton taillift, very slight weep on the hydraulics but have only had to top it up once in 5 years, taillift extension is a bit agricultural but works fine.

Sleeper cab hass been stripped and i was in the process of relining it, the material to finish along with some lights will come with.

5 speed manual gets about 18mpg full laden and will cruise happily at 55 all day every day.

Dual battery conversion using ford parts when we bought it and 2 brand new batteries within the last 12 months.

Recent ford original dual fuel tank conversion so long trips withoput a stop are easily done now and you dont have to be held at ransom on motorway service station fuel prices!

Will come with 12 months ticket and 6 months tax

Starts first time every time even if not used for a month or more.

Box was rewired last year with a new consumer unit and 4 double tube lights so lighting is better than some operating theatres....

Will be fitting new LED rear light clusters for the MOT next month.

Box has never leaked

Comes with an awning casset on the side but needs a new sheet.

We also have a 3.5 KVS silent diesel genny for sale by seperate negotiation that had a brand new alternator last year and has done less than 2 hours since.

Box has internal tyre racking fitting as long as some BOTT tool storage that will stay and a workbench as well.

Offers around £3600

Pics here: (truck will be de stickered before delivery)

If my license let me drive it, it would be mine in a shot!

May be interested in a swap for a good covered race trailer with cash either way if necessary.

Can't be any harder than the car driving test.
