Hi Guys,


Description

Forsale is my Vauxhall Astra GTE Mk2 8v in silver. I have owned this car since August 2006 and im the second owner.

I have extensive history including the original service book which has 11 stamps up to 33k, not to mention plenty of reciepts documenting all the work Ive done myself.

The MOT is valid till AUG 2012 and is taxed until FEB 2012.

Recently serviced I changed the Oil+filter, spark plugs, leads, air filter and fuel filter.

Also a new fuel pump was fitted in AUG 2009 along with a new exhaust system and battery. The DigiDash had new bulbs JAN this year.

Obviously the car is 20 years old and it does need some TLC.

Good Points:

*Alessio Speedline 16'' Alloy wheels (extremely rare) Et49 with Toyo T1-Rs on the front (195/45/50) and Pirelli P-Zero-Neros on the rear (195/45/50). All four tyres have 4.7mm of tread remaining.
*Immaculate interior with all original trim present and no damaged chair side clips.
*Courtenay front strut brace.
*Orignal Ronal Teardrop spare wheel, never used. Plus orignal four wheels.
*Alarm with remote central locking.
*Original Stereo (not fitted)

Bad Points:

*Both Arches need attention.
*Passengers door needs replacing (I have one ready to paint and fit)
*Overall body has a few minor chips which you'd expect.
*Front alloys have minor kerbing blemishes.
*The Speedo isn't working correctly.
*New radiator needed.
*Offside light washer & Tow cap are missing.


Ive been slowing buying spares as now GTE parts are increasing rare to find. These include a rust free passenger door, air filter, head light protectors, x2 headlamps, Mud Guards to just to name a few.

Now Ive been as honest as possible, however if your genuinely interested please call Id be more than happy to have a chat or even better view the car.

Ps the Number plate will be removed and is not part of the sale.

OMG the sight of it has made my lip quiver.... i had one of those in my early 20`s with the redtop in it which is where i got my thirst for one in my Avon.

It was a fantastic car with top performance at the time. Only have great memories of it.

Yours certainly looks a good example mate and wish you the best of luck in the sale.

Looks like a great buy to me but don't think the wife will stomach another car on the drive

Mrs had a B plate GTE in 87/88, doesn't feel like 5 minutes since Bigrich was giving it the once over, sadly was nicked and never seen again...

Mentioned this one to her, "If its red I want it" was the reply, what year is it?

I had a red 8 valve for a few months, my mate then ran it out of oil.

i want a nova anyone got one :O)

HTF did they let you up the strip with no helmet or seat belt/harness?

Its a J plate 1991. An old couple owned it before me, I phoned them up once I bought it. Apparently they wanted something powerful to tow a caravan which they never did lol !

No, it was definately a mk2, for a short while we had identical cars, one B plate, one F.

mk1s finished on the A, the very last few made it onto B plates.

think that could have been a mk1 astra gte m8 not a mk2

Never sold her originally, too much hassle with eBay and classifieds in the end.

Dry stored and now trying to sell again. Don't have the time to restore to her former glory!

5 years down the line this is probably worth more now!
