I'm tentatively putting my car up for sale, I know its the wrong time of year but a project has come up so I thought I'd post an ad up to
gauge interest.
The car is a GKD legend but with a 99 R1 engine. IVA'd and registered in Aug 2012 so no MOT until sep 2015. Car has only covered 500 miles since
IVA.
Spec:
Engine/transmission:
1999 4xv carburetted R1 engine, bought with 11k miles on it. Has been rooling road set up at JDM dyno, i'm sure i've got a printout
somewhere with 130ish bhp at the wheels. Engine/gearbox runs sweet. Barnett uprated springs/pressure plate and sump baffle plate fitted.
Standard R1 carbon can, but also have a straight through and also a standard can with Cat for MOT time.
AB performance paddle shift
Running gear:
Full IRS suspension with protech alloy dampers and Faulkner springs
BMW 318is 3.45 diff
318is front calipers and vented discs
Golf mk4 rear calipers and
MNR inline reverse
New 2 piece TRT prop shaft.
16" team dynamics pro race 1.2s in anthracite
Toyo R1r tyres
Interior:
All stack instruments
ST500 tachometer/speedo with integral voltmeter, 0-60, 1/4 mile recorder etc, integral shift lights.
Stack electrical oil pressure, oil temp, water temp and fuel gauges
Savage switches
OMP superquadro suade steering wheel
JK composites seats bolted to steel floor
Titon 3" red harnesses
Bodywork:
Ally side panels, GRP scuttle, one piece bonnet/nosecone painted in cellulose Vauxhall VXR red.
Black arches, fronts are MK CSR style.
Now for the bits that need fettling:
This was going to be my winters work, just before the car went away there was a slight vibration felt from the rear, you could feel it through the
base of the seat, it felt to me as though it was a CV joint on its way but I Havent investigated further. As the car uses BMW diff and shaft they are
cheap as chips to repair/replace. I had intended to fit an LSD from a 328i or M3 3.0 as they will bolt straight in.
The bodywork was painted by me so is not showroom mint in places and there are a couple of small scratches/marks. The filler where the bonnet/nose
joins has started to crack under the paint. Again this was going to be sorted over the winter but as it will be sold the new owner can decide whether
it will bother them or not.
The price i'm looking for is £6750
I am pretty firm on that price, I think this is fair due to the couple of little jobs that need sorting but is also good value due to the spec of the
car. I also have a newly built converted caravan chassis that fits the car like a glove that can be negotiated into the deal.
Below are some pics from a few months back, I am going to get the car out this weekend and get some upto date ones. Any questions fire away.

Nice looking car!
Just a couple of things I forgot to add, the car was setup and corner weighted at procomp earlier this year, and the dominators have now been removed
and replaced with 5" headlights that actually light up things in front of you
Andy, do you need a contact number for your page?
Cheers
Steve

Hey Steve, sorry to heR you are selling up but good luck with the sale.
If the new buyer doesn't want your trailer, I may be interested in it if you want to sell it separate after the car is gone.
Cheers
G
Lovely car and a very good price.

Thanks for the kind comments!
The car will remain up for sale as it stands until the end of the month, then I finally have some time off work and the car will be pulled to bits and
I will start to rectify the little niggles.

You and your love of Stack :-) It is nicely put together though.
Now sold
On the plus side Jodie seemed a very nice guy so I think it's gone to a good home, and thanks for a smooth seamless sale.
Good times. Whats next?
Just put an offer in on a renovation house project. It's probably going to be a couple of years before my next kit. I do already have a low miles
s2000 engine sat in the back of the garage ready for a new home.
The upside is if we do get the house it has plenty of space for a new deluxe garage and about 6 cars on the driveway
Hi
Is the car still for sale. Very interested. Can you send me your number so I can call to discuss
Cheers
If you read the thread, he sold it today (I think!).
I wanted this one too, but no money for a few months so hope something as good appears then - otherwise time to build my own ;-)
Hi sdh, glad you got the car sold, looks a very well built kit!
Did you sell the trailer with the car? If not I would be interested in it.
Cheers....
G
Yep the whole lot went, car, trailer and a selection of spares. Garage suddenly feels a very empty place.
