For sale;
Small, single-axle trailer. Carries a locost or other small car. Great value at only £250.
Originally for a Formula Ford, the wheel beds have been extended to allow a locost, classic mini etc to be perfectly balanced on it. Could easily take
two motorbikes.
This is a sturdy unit, about half the weight of double axle trailers.
Keeps your car at the perfect height for working on it and access all round is easy.
Also fits into a single garage with the car on.
Size of trailer:
Overall length is just under 4.4m
Overall width is 2.05m
It can carry a car of maximum wheelbase length 2650mm (between your car's wheel centres), with a minimum width 1060mm between inner edges of
the tyres, max width 1565mm between outer edges.
Comes with:
Free trailer board with lights - just bring a number plate.
Manual winch.
Corner props.
Spare wheel.
Heavy gauge grippy galvanised ramps which are much newer than the trailer.
Plastic mudgards, repaired but function well,
Jockey wheel, basic but works fine.
Hitch, sturdy and the sliding section is not seized and so does cushion your car a bit when braking.
Needs:
It can be used as is, but would benefit from some tlc:
It's been parked outside, under a tarpaulin for 12 months.
The blue chassis paint is peeling although the twin wheel channels have been more recently painted with green hammerite
The original built-in brake has never worked, but I have not stripped it to see why. Somebody has fitted a standard Girling mastercylinder, piped
up to the Vauxhall van brakes (hubs with 14" rims).
Pics to follow when I can.
....and NO this is not a trade advertisement!!
Description
A photo from earlier this year. Not much trailer to see in this, but the rest of it is similar.
More when weather permits.
