Finally pulled the trigger on ordering an AB Performance Arion S2, so their S1 'test-mule' chassis that I'd planned to build my
track-day car around is surplus to requirements.
Parts are located at AB's unit near Stowmarket, Suffolk.
The kit...
Lightweight chassis with integral cage (Striker based - a lot of work has gone into optimising pick-up point locations)
Front lower wishbones (pair)
Front top rockers with bearings (pair)
Rear lower wishbones (pair)
Rear upper wishbones (pair)
(all wishbones are complete with all joints)
Raceleda front uprights complete (pair)
Billet alloy front hubs (pair)
Front discs (pair)
Rear uprights in steel (pair)
Sierra bearing carriers (pair)
Rear hubs (pair)
Rear discs – lightened and grooved (pair)
Wilwood Calipers x 4 with handbrake on the rears (not in picture)
MC's
Pedal set
AB Performance Electric Reverse
Driveshafts built up on race CV joints (pair)
Shocks Protech double-adjustables 2 1/4" x 4
Propshaft – resilient tube
Fuel tank to take 08 Blade pump (Has been modded for extra capacity. The additional welding is functional, but not pretty... and wasn't by AB)
Header tank
Paddleshift (AB Performance Mk1)
Steering column (collapsible sierra)
Steering column intermediate shaft and joints
Steering rack 2.4 escort quick rack with mounts
Compomotive 13" x 7" CXR wheels x 4 (not in picture)
2.25 Lifeline mechanical extinguisher – needs service stamp (not in picture)
AB Performance 4-2-1 system in stainless for 08 Blade (not in picture)
AB Performance stainless 6 inch silencer (not in picture)
25 Row Mocal Cooler (not in picture)
Alloy 2 Row Radiator with 25mm inlets / outlets for 08 Blade (not in picture)
Fuel / Brake Lines
The most obvious parts you will need to complete...
Bodywork / Lights to suit
2008 Honda CBR1000 Engine
Instruments / Switchgear
Steering wheel
Seat(s)
Harness(es)
Tyres
7" Sierra diff with bolt on flanges (I have a pair of new and unused Quaife flanges that could be supplied with a suitable Scootz-sized
discount!)
There's the bulk of a very capable track-day car here!
I'd prefer to advertise as 'one lot' first and see if there are any takers. I'd then consider excluding the Honda engine specific
parts. And finally, if there's no interest, then I'll prepare a 'sky burial' and invite the vultures to pick the bones!
Price is £4,300 for the lot. Price-up the component parts and you'll see that this is a serious bargain for a comprehensive chassis-kit that has
only done testing miles and a few races.
Below are the pics from the ad when I bought it...
Here are a couple of pics of the chassis-kit with it's clothes-on (panels not included).
And here's a video clip of this very chassis in action!
very nice, thats a great price shame I do not have the pennies for it
Cheers fella.
It's a cracking kit - and I've priced it to sell as the S2 bills are coming in.
The exhaust system and dampers would have cost a couple of grand on their own.
Sccotz If i give you 2.5K for it will you buy it back in 6 months untouched for 4.5k? :-)
As said a bargain at that price and like others if i didint have 4 cars on the go and pay for i would have bitten your hand off. hope it goes to a
good home.
LOL... No!
Congrats on the S2 purchase - it's quite a machine!
Cheers. I've been following the model development on FB and been really impressed with the detail.
Eak. I wish you all the best fella. Shame u can't afford the kit

Couple of folk have mentioned the previous advert on Pistonheads (from when I bought it). Yep, the advertised price at that time was indeed £2500,
but please bear in mind that was just for the chassis, corners and a few small parts.
The CXR Wheels, Protech Shocks, Wilwood Brakes, Exhaust System, Hubs, Discs, Radiator, Oil Cooler, etc. did not form part of that sale (they were
another couple of grand on top).
So, the traditional Scootz / LCB discount has been applied (naturally )... and just to prove that I really am rubbish at selling stuff, I'll
even throw in the pair of unused Quaife bolt-on diff flanges to sweeten the deal (cost £250-ish).

Tell us more - is Andy building it? Putting it through IVA?
Ummm....would you be prepared to split this?
Perhaps if there's no interest in the whole lot after a fortnight or so... what bits are you after?
Potentially.....and I mean potentially.
Chassis
shocks
hubs/uprights/drive shafts.
but nothing bike related or the brakes/discs/rack/prop/tank or rad.
Basically I might want to change out my Live Axle chassis for a IRS chassis and this could be a cheap way of doing it.

I like your style!
I have a few folk interested in the lot. Will keep you posted.
If you do end up splitting, I'd be interested in the Quaife bolt-on diff flanges.... i'll keep my eyes peeled on this thread!
