AB Chassis kit (round 2)
gaz_gaz - 10/6/15 at 09:32 AM

So my turn and sell this on,
Bought with good intentions but an opportunity to buy a car I've wanted for ages has popped up and I don't have space for 2 kits and a bike in my garage.
Other than collect from Andys place I've not done a lot to it, I've replaced the wheel bearings and added some wheels and tyres so It's now a roller and you won't have the grief I had collecting and transporting it,
The chassis is in very good condition and all brake and fuel lines where mounted on adhesive blocks before so there has been minimal drilling to the chassis, There is no corrosion showing anywhere.

Almost everything is Included to put this back together,
The front section is bolt on bolt off so reverting back to a striker would be fairly simple and should give a very quick car with the new RGB rules for 7 shape cars

Additional to Scotts advert there is

Electric water pump kit
all coolant hoses to complete system
dash panel with some switch gear
tunnel top with some switch gear
rear light assemblies

So below is a blatant copy of what Scott wrote

The kit...

Lightweight chassis with integral T45 cage (Striker based - a lot of work has gone into optimising pick-up point locations)
Front lower wishbones (pair)
Front top rockers with bearings (pair)
Rear lower wishbones (pair)
Rear upper wishbones (pair)
(all wishbones are complete with all joints)
Raceleda front uprights complete (pair)
Billet alloy front hubs (pair)
Front discs (pair)
Rear uprights in steel (pair)
Sierra bearing carriers (pair)
Rear hubs (pair)
Rear discs – lightened and grooved (pair)
Wilwood Calipers x 4 with handbrake on the rears (not in picture)
MC's
Pedal set
AB Performance Electric Reverse
Driveshafts built up on race CV joints (pair)
Shocks Protech double-adjustables 2 1/4" x 4
Propshaft – resilient tube
Fuel tank complete with Blade pump
Header tank
Paddleshift (AB Performance Mk1)
Steering column (collapsible sierra)
Steering column intermediate shaft and joints
Steering rack 2.4 escort quick rack with mounts
2.25 Lifeline mechanical extinguisher – needs service stamp (not in picture)
AB Performance 4-2-1 system in stainless for 08 Blade (not in picture)
AB Performance stainless 6 inch silencer (not in picture)
25 Row Mocal Cooler (not in picture)
Alloy 2 Row Radiator with 25mm inlets / outlets for 08 Blade (not in picture)
Fuel / Brake Lines
electric water pump

The most obvious parts you will need to complete...
Bodywork / Lights to suit (Andy B has an Arion body at a very very good price available)
2008 onwards Honda CBR1000 Engine
Instruments / Switchgear
Steering wheel
Seat(s)
Harness(es)

Collection will now be from Crawley, West Sussex, or i may be able to assist dropping it off on a trailer.

I'd like to sell everything in 1 lump but I may split if someone only wants the chassis.

price £4300

blatant picture thief

Seems a cheap package gaz!

gaz_gaz - 10/6/15 at 10:01 AM

I think so Dan,

In years gone by I'd have put the chassis in the conservatory and come back to it in winter but apparently that's a room for relaxing in and not storing half built cars.

peter030371 - 10/6/15 at 12:02 PM

JeffW could be interested in the chassis if you do split, if you haven't already it might be worth U2U to him

gaz_gaz - 10/6/15 at 12:56 PM

A couple of people have expressed an interest in the chassis complete with wishbones, uprights, hubs, rockers, driveshafts and damper units but I have no idea of the value?

jeffw - 10/6/15 at 01:01 PM

£50 and I'll collect !

Looking at it again I suspect it would take a lot of work to fit a Car engine/gearbox.

gaz_gaz - 10/6/15 at 01:37 PM

Tempting offer!!

jeffw - 10/6/15 at 01:53 PM

you watch....there will be a bidding war now !

gaz_gaz - 10/6/15 at 02:13 PM

I reckon we could sell the rights to channel 4

jeffw - 10/6/15 at 02:30 PM

Chassis Wars

Dopdog - 10/6/15 at 03:26 PM

I really want it, anyone fancy a nice busa fury with one careful owner

gaz_gaz - 10/6/15 at 03:27 PM

In all seriousness I'm not after a bidding war.
Just looking to recoup my spend.

Chassis with hubs, uprights, wishbones, driveshafts and dampers has to be worth around 2750 or so I'd have thought?

jeffw - 11/6/15 at 08:31 AM

Certainly sounds very reasonable. If I had the dosh.....

gaz_gaz - 12/6/15 at 01:54 PM

Sold my tran-x diff
CBR engine package being collected tomorrow.

Just this chassis to shift and I can fill my garage with something else I'll not want a week later.

Come and get it :-)

jeffw - 12/6/15 at 02:19 PM

Do a part-ex with Simon's Fury....

sdh2903 - 12/6/15 at 02:22 PM

You're starting to sound like the southern franchise of Scootz's buy and sell emporium

gaz_gaz - 12/6/15 at 02:46 PM

It was discussed Jeff.
I may still buy the Fury if the chassis sells in time which won't help reduce my car count 1 bit but never mind.

gaz_gaz - 16/6/15 at 04:08 PM

I'll reply to all pms this evening.
Currently back home in darkest Scotland visiting my parents.

No firm offers on the chassis so anyone interested in parts please get in touch before ebay gets it's hands on my money.

gaz_gaz - 26/6/15 at 03:21 PM

Still in my garage. Still not touched.. picking a Striker up next week so could do with the space.

jeffw - 26/6/15 at 06:49 PM

The black TR supercharged Blade?

gaz_gaz - 26/6/15 at 06:58 PM

Na Jeff. Looks a stonking car but a little pricey for a track only car for me.
I'd rather have Simons old car but after 2 years of trying I can't get the current owner to part with it so onto a cheeky little zetec powered car with a windscreen for some summer driving.
Will see what crops up competition wise come season finale.

jeffw - 26/6/15 at 07:17 PM

Superchargered Phoenix for £25K

gaz_gaz - 26/6/15 at 08:02 PM

If it's IRS I'll take it.
If not l can supply a chassis for a good price and I MAY buy it when it's converted

jeffw - 26/6/15 at 08:06 PM

Lol....

Dopdog - 26/6/15 at 08:12 PM

Hey me first stop hijacking my sales pitch

Back on track the chassis pack is a bargain for someone, come on all you builders out there.

gaz_gaz - 4/7/15 at 09:07 AM

closing down sale..

Looks like i'm no better than Scott when it comes to buying and selling stuffs,
£3900 takes the lot, Prepared to split if required.

Will start to part it out after this weekend, So anyone who expressed interest in parts could drop me a quick message again I'd be grateful.

gaz_gaz - 7/7/15 at 09:35 AM

On ebay

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/141712514093

And now including red striker bodywork with 3 piece rear tub because I'm an idiot that can't stop buying stuff.

[Edited on 7/7/15 by gaz_gaz]

jeffw - 7/7/15 at 09:43 AM

Good luck with the sale.

gaz_gaz - 7/7/15 at 11:05 AM

Cheers Jeff,

If it doesn't sell this time I'm going to bite the bullet and build the thing.
shouldn't take long as pretty much everything is there now.

gaz_gaz - 9/10/15 at 10:22 AM

Dramatic last minute U-turn but this is back up for sale.

Not alot has changed with regards to the advert.
Car is now rolling although will need dampers and springs.
All new wheel bearings, braided brake lines and nuts and bolts where required. I'll also throw in a sierra diff and whatever other little bits and pieces aren't required such as modified CBR loom that has fired the engine up and a brand new car loom.

It'll take me a few days to strip the engine, diff, suspension ect off but pretty much ready to go and I'll be back on It tomorrow evening.

Also have a brand new AB Arion body and an immaculate AIM pista dash that has the GPS unit, channel expansion hub, memory key and some other add ons.

If someone really wants it I'd be prepared to leave the 2012 motor complete with billet sump, water pump delete, airbox mod so could be up in running in no time at all.

jeffw - 9/10/15 at 10:34 AM

And the price is? Might be useful to include some current picture...

gaz_gaz - 9/10/15 at 10:45 AM

4k for the chassis and all the gubbins but can work a price if there's things someone doesn't want.
2k for the body.
800 for the dash.

I'll take pictures tomorrow or sunday but it'll be almost identical to before by the time it's stripped back.

Rosco86 - 9/10/15 at 10:56 AM

is the electric water pump still available?

gaz_gaz - 9/10/15 at 11:11 AM

I'd prefer to wait and see if whoever buys the chassis wants the associated parts before parting it out.

richard munnis - 9/10/15 at 11:19 AM

Would it be hard to fit a zetec with type 9 gearbox into this i would interested if the tunnel is big enough

gaz_gaz - 9/10/15 at 11:40 AM

A zetec and type 9 would fit without alot of work or fuss.
I considered this myself before deciding to keep the bike engine.
Martin at Raw was pretty helpful and could supply everything required or carry out the swap

[Edited on 9/10/15 by gaz_gaz]

jeffw - 9/10/15 at 12:13 PM

I thought the tunnel looked too small for a Type9?

richard munnis - 9/10/15 at 12:18 PM

Does it include the raw stryker bodywork as i would be converting it into one of these to be honest

gaz_gaz - 9/10/15 at 12:19 PM

The measurements I have are with a Hewland MLG sequential transmission. That uses a type 9 bell housing. Can't remember the dimensions off the top of my head but I can measure the MLG when I get back for comparison.

jeffw - 9/10/15 at 04:45 PM

Thanks, I discounted it as I didn't think the 60G would fit.
