Decided it's time to let my Locost R1 go :-(
Unfortunately I just haven't got the time/space/funds to give it the love it deserves.
I built it myself and it passed SVA on 24/03/09. It's hardly been used since then, probably around 800 miles.
It's a Stuart Taylor live axle chassis, which was blasted and powdercoat gloss black. Most the other bits were purchased from them too.
The 2005 injection R1 engine/clocks were bought from Yorkshire engines with around 6k on it.
It has a decent spec including wildwood calipers, quaiffe Atb (3.54 ratio), bias bar, mounting for 6 point harness for driver (two 4 point harnesses
currently fitted), full cage, mac#1 seats and aeroscreen, carbon front wings, longacre rear view mirror, paddle shift, power commander etc.
This would make an excellent track car.
Bad bits - The diff has started to leak oil so will require a overhaul. Currently no MOT but will definitely pass, if I'd got the time I'd
get it done but it would mean trailering it to the mot station. I'll put a new battery on it as the one fitted is quite old now.

Price wise, not really sure I was thinking around £6750 but obviously am aware it needs the diff doing and an MOT.
Let me know if I'm a mile out on the price.
Thanks!
Reduced to £6000 following some guidance on price, I am of course open to offers.
Cheers.
Slight reduction again to £5500.
You have a u2u!
Still for sale.
All u2u's now replied to. Just to add, not really open to offers at this price as in no rush to sell
Right up my street this. Going on holiday though and need to sell my car first 😤
