I was building a locost years ago and participated in the group buy of the chinese tig welders. I've never used it as I continued using mig until the project stopped and it's been sat in my garage since then. If anyone has one of these and wants it for parts then please let me know. It's never been switched on and I wouldn't know how to test it so it's just for parts. You'll need to collect it from the Newbury area.

I think I remember the group buy donkeys years ago. They were acdc tigs around 160 or 200amp weren't they?

It might help if you post a few details.

(I'd love a tig setup, but can never justify the cost to buy - thought long and hard about the group buy)

Hi. To be perfectly honest I don't recall anything about the specs of the machine I'm afraid. It's basically just taking up space in the garage and I don't know how to tig weld so don't know how to go about checking it out and making sure it's safe so I can sell. I was hoping that someone who had one kicking about needing parts or anyone who knows anything about these things could recommission it to use on their project.

Sorry, it's spoken for. Jamie put his name against it but having dragged it out packaging it up for a courier isn't something I can do without buying a load of materials which I don't really want to do (have sent you a u2u Jamie, sorry but it's too bulky and heavy for what boxes I do have).
