Lada Niva for sale

I know you guys love interesting cars, so I thought I'd post a link to the ad for my beloved Lada Niva.

On balance, it's probably been the best car I've ever owned: on the road it can cruise at 90mph (honestly!) and return 30mpg, and off road with knobbly tyres on, it eats Landies for breakfast.

I would love to have the spare box off you. Ive just got my niva passed it MOT. First time its done so in a number of years i think. The only problem is it keeps jumping out of 4th. Ideally id like a spare box while i recondition the one in it.

Another problem is you live a fair way from me.

Actually I live in London (the Lada is stored at my parents place) so distance isn't necessarily the problem as I could bring the box back with me next time I go and visit.

TBH I need to get a feel for how much interest there is in the car, as the spare box might be a good selling point. Will let you know...

Hi if anyone wants some bits for one. I think i still have some spare bits and pieces for one Inc a SU carburettor conversion but that's only any good if wanting to trial one.

Here's the one i built for comp-safari events and a bit of trialing. They are great off-road and come with steering lock unlike some popular offroaders.
