hi what flywhhl stroke pressure plate would i need to use this on my xe to type 9 thanks

NS Dev - 29/3/08 at 05:50 PM

if you used it with a vaxhall XE then the std vauxhall flyweel (flat type) and std vauxhall cover would work fine.

Bear in mind its solid centre though so pretty harsh for road use.

harshness isint a problem i just need to check what flywheel i have how do i spot the diffrences

really obvious, if the clutch looks "normal" i.e. the bolts tht hold it on are about 1" or so "nearer" the engine than the spring fingers then its a flat flywheel and normal clutch.

If the bolts that hold the clutch on are almost level with the fingers and the flywheel looks very thick (about 30-35mm near the ring gear) then its the "pot type" flywheel where the clutch sits inside a recess in the flywheel.

right i geuss i have a flat flywheel then inch long bolts and the surface looks flat
however i measured the diamiter of my clutch and its only 228mm and yours is 240mm will it still fit?
thanks

ahhh, senior moment at my end, no, its no good for vauxhall XE to type 9.............

now I remember why I never used it myself!!!

For some reason the penny hadn't dropped that vauxhall is 228mm............
