Milling machine

Begrudgingly I am thinking of putting my milling machine up for sale, not because I want to (lord no!) but because I am running seriously low on workshop space.

Edgewick 2hp milling machine:
Automatic feed Z-axis. A really snazzy bit of engineering!
Good, smooth beds, properly maintained.
Bought off a reputable local engineering company who used it for MANY years as a backup machine. (As such I was assured it was always 100% reliable)
ISO-30 shank, with accompanying ISO-30 bit
Large choice of milling bits (additional cost however)
Internal lube pump.

Bad points.

Currently 3-phase..... BUT I have all the CAD drawings (inc accompanying paper drawings) for making a plate to fit a single phase motor (normal domestic supply). Motors to suit run at around £100.
Belts ideally need replacing (however this should be done at the same time as a new motor is fitted)
It REALLY bloody heavy!
Switch at the back of the machine is damaged, caused when we were moving it.... Not a problem if you want to use it on a single phase supply as this would be bypassed.
Paint is shabby... but does it's job, no rust atall! (picture shows some standing water on the machine... don't be worried)

I am asking for £450ono.

Pictures:
(from when I bought it, as it is easier to see it's condition than in my poorly lit garage.)

I am situated in Stockport. SE Manchester (Marple more precisely).
I CAN deliver it, but at a significant cost (£150 + fuel costs) as it requires 3 fellas/1 whole day to move it around (assuming of course that the other end has no forklift!)

I really don't want to sell this, but I REALLY need the space it is taking up (1 car garage with a scratchbuild project = lack of space even without a milling machine!)

Contact me here, or on 07833 197 720 If you are interested.

Regards

Edd
