Restored in 1999 as a 1966 model
1641cc Big Bore engine (5000 miles since installation and recently serviced)

New sills and waxoiled in 2006
EMPI Quickshift gear stick
EMPI Roofrack

It does need a front driver’s side wing but apart from that the bodywork is in good condition

I have a manta ray buggy shell and floor pan/motor that may well be up sale as never seem to have to time to do owt with it...

worth quite a lot of money now, check it out first. That was quite a popular buggy almost as much as the GP and manx ones except you try and find a manta ray kit now. If you need any advice on how to do it just ask.

Is Mr Whippy a buggy fan then?..Not as many down here as you might think...loadsa really cool campers and the odd trick car but rare to see a buggy.

did have a plan but plans can and do get hidden under carpets!!!

I've owned a buggy for ages, 10 years or so I think, owned the base car for 19 years now my first ever car, bought as my 16th birthday present. Unfortunately Most never saw the road and were used as offroad toys then were abandoned and just rotted away.

its a lovely car and is owned by one of the girls at work. think its her second or third real beetle. nice car and shifts a bit for a beetle.
