I just breezed past an unmarked Police car doing about 40 in a 30. will I get a ticket or would he have stopped me there and then do you think?

Car has to stop you, cameras don't

They would have stopped you if they were interested...

I done this once on the motorway but at high speed, by the he put the blues on and his right boot down i was off at the next junction. Too close for comfort, thought the same thing! Was waiting for a knock for weeks but nothing came of it.

And now the obvious question, why. Did you just not agree with the limit ?

I was under the impression they had to do it there and then to give you a ticket, after that they'd have to issue a summons and deal with it in court.

Several years ago when I was taxi-ing I "breezed" past a marked car, doing 65 in a 30... It was the dead of night though, and they didn't bat an eyelid

Mind you by the time they turned round and gave chase I could have been a mile away

I passed a one parked up doing 130 in a 30 many years ago.. was probably going fast enough to think he dreamed it
