Alpine CDA-9812RR CD Tuner Headunit (MP3 & Ipod)
ChrisGamlin - 3/2/09 at 08:24 PM

Hi All

This head unit came out of the Leon I've just sold, I fitted it so I could play MP3s burnt to CD.

It was a top-of-the-line Alpine head unit about 3 or 4 years ago, and is still in their current lineup costing just under £200, albeit they now only sell the silver version (9812RB) that doesn't come with remote (if you'd ever use it!).

Comes supplied with cage, manual, fascia case, remote control, Alpine-to-ISO connector lead and also an aerial attenuator that I needed for fitment into the Leon, so others may require it too. I do also have a box but it's not the original.

The headunit itself is in great condition, no scratches etc on the face. The only minor issue is I accidentally broke a few of the plastic tabs off the fascia surround (the trim panel round the outside), so it occasionally comes loose or moves, especially if you try and take the fascia off. I suspect a new one could be sourced for very little money, but a piece of suitably positioned blu-tac (not visible) also does the job adequately.

Plays MP3s and WMA files from CD, and it will accept add-on modules for DAB radio and Ipod connectivity if required. It also has various other features which Ive listed below the pics (copied from the Alpine site here )

£80 + £5 postage.

e-mail / u2u me if you're interested.

Cheers
Chris
