Indy R1 For Sale
My 2004 registered car is for sale, on an age related G plate. I've owned it for over three years, originally with a blade engine but it was
upgraded last year to an injection R1.
It's a solid and reliable car, the issues I experienced following the engine transplant have been fully ironed out this season with the help of
a rewire from Chris Mason.
- Low mileage 2003 R1 5PW Engine (supplied by Yorkshire engines)
- Oil/plugs/filter changed regularly
- Engine cradle supplied by MK Engineering
- Exhaust manifold supplied by MK Engineering
- TRT prop (D+F)
- Powercommander (USB)
- Speedo healer
- R1 clocks
- R1 fuel pump mounted in tank (wired in for low fuel warning)
- Black GRP dash with Savage switches
- Sierra switchgear
- Setup for track use by Blink Motorsport (Westie specialists)
- 7" LSD (3.62)
- Protech shocks (selection of springs)
- Disks all round (Sierra)
- 2 sets of Focus alloys (R888 part worn and Goodyear F1 brand new)
- Stickers peel off!
It's no garage queen as it has been used as a trackday car. Therefore, cosmetically there are few issues that need pointing out:
- the wishbones and wing stays all have some surface rust
- the interior panel vinyl trim could do with some attention
- the bodywork has the odd scratch, although no cracks
- bonnet is cut out for airbox (trimmed with utrim)
- the rear arch stone protector melted due to an exhaust issue (protector needs replacing)
- the front arches are drilled and held on with zip ties but I have a brand new set of MNR arches to go with the car
- is fitted with "burger" rear lights but I have a brand new set of rear lights (fog and both sides) to go with the car
None of this minor stuff affects how fast it goes:

Priced to sell at £6k ovno. 07894 709237.
I'm interested in swaps, especially hot hatch or other trackday toys.
ETA the car is currently SORNed but will be at Oulton this Friday if anyone wants to see it in action. It's fully road legel so I'm happy
to MOT it as part of any deal.

Thanks for the bump. I'm not sure what next to be honest but I have someone looking at it tomorrow and I thought I'd advertise it properly
having got my head around the idea of flogging it.

Sad news, guessing the crap weather has some bearing on your decision.
You know of course, next year will be a scorcher! :cool
Hope it all works out for you, all the same, Derek.

I'm a bit gutted to sell it having spent all the cash on the R1 but I want to think about some new projects and I'll need cash in hand to
act quickly. I doubt I'll stop doing track days...

To all who asked about photos. The reason the car sits a touch high at the driver's side is that it's corner weighted for me...and
I'm big! The last photo shows the damage to the stone protector/arch on the passenger side.
