4AGE swap for Zetec, testing the water.

hi all,
just testing the water for am friend of mine.
He has a Toyota 4age engine that he removed from a MR2 with the intension of using it in one of his kits but has decided he would rather use a Zetec. He wants to put it on ebay in a few weeks but I suggested that someone here might be up for a swap, he has all the ECU and gearbox with it and all the service history, looking for a silvertop zetec prefer a 2.0 but might take a 1.8.
What do you guys think, a fair swap?
Cheers

why is he opting for a zetec when he has a superb engine in his possession?
wish i had a zetec spare so could do the swap.

Rob

Indeed, I'd hardly say a silvertop Zetec would be an 'upgrade' but each to their own!

Anyway that's not why I'm replying - I discovered when I bought my MR2 4Age c/w gearbox that the earlier (I think) MR2 gearboxes are quite sought after in various circles and I was contacted by a bloke after the ebay auction ended offering me £100 for the box! (I won both for £110). It's worth bearing that in mind perhaps especialy as Zetecs are so cheap........

His thinking is that he already has a very good understanding of the wokings of the zetec and all th gubbins that go with it, he already has all the ignition bits, fly wheel, gearbox etc, so it will be a lot cheaper to put in a zetec than it will be to get bellhousing and bits for the 4AGE.
He loves the 4AGE, hell we all do, but its too expensive for him to put in.
