Everything: chassis, V8, gearbox, suspension and much misc
After many years, the last few of neglect, imminent emigration has forced the issue and I'm selling off my locost project. Everything must go by
early February.
Photos of most things are here:
http://www.leetfighter.com/gallery/liquidation
All prices here are guesses to some extent. Offers lower or higher are welcome. I'd rather things went to locostbuilders, anything I can't
get rid of will go on eBay.
Collection / delivery can be worked out individually, can courier things at your cost.
Main items of interest are:
3.5L Rover V8 Vitesse engine number 30A01941, EFI, including loom, ECU, alternator, fuel pump etc etc - everything you need to run the engine (no air
filter though). Only test fired since rebuild, has sat in the garage with oil and coolant in for about 5 years (wow, it has been a long time..). Has a
clutch bolted to it, unknown condition. Not sure of value, offers around £250 I think?
I have an engine hoist to load this if you collect.
LT77 gearbox for above engine, inc gearstick mechanism and bellhousing, bolts, new "shitplate" and new clutch release bearing (in box, not
fitted). No play in input shaft bearing. Again not sure of value, offers around £150?
Main frame done and fully welded McSorley 7+4 chassis with rear mods to take GTS De Dion axle (see later). No engine bay braces, FU tubes or
transmission tunnel yet, also wants more triangulation down the sides when things are fixed. Trailing arm brackets fitted and tacked.
Has been sitting for a while after being rubbed down with engine oil, light surface rust in places (see photos for the worst of it).
Really don't know the value of this and would welcome suggestions. Guess somewhere between £100 and £400, but depends on finding someone who
wants it..
Chassis comes with a variety of little tubes marked and drilled as a jig for fitting front suspension, and some bits cut to length for FU tubes etc.
Also comes with original receipt for the steel which I vaguely remember can be helpful for SVA, dated 2004.
FRONT BITS
SOLD: Escort mk2 quick rack
Cortina front uprights and hubs, rebuilt with new bearings and painted, assembled with new brake discs (discs have sat around and got a bit rusty).
£75?
Cortina M16 calipers, disassembled ("split" and repainted. Suitable for trade-in as they need special stretch bolts to reassemble safely.
£10 or offer, 9kg so postage would be £7.49, or collect.
GTS camber adjusters, shiny unused - £10?
ALL SOLD: (2x maxi balljoints (£20), 2x transit drag links (top balljoint) (£10), 2x escort track rod ends (steering) (£10))
SOLD GTS escort track rod extenders to suit +4" chassis
1 top and 1 bottom wishbone to fit this chassis, my own design similar to GTS. Also CAD files, designs, jigs and the important bits (laser cut plates)
needed to build a complementary pair for the other side (can you tell when my build stopped?)
Would really like these to go to a good home as much blood sweat and tears went into them - £15 ish (it's not about the money).
REAR BITS
SOLD: Sierra 4x4 LSD and driveshafts.
SOLD: Sierra 4x4 non-ABS rear bearing carriers and hubs for above.
SOLD: Brakes for above, and discs
GTS tuning De Dion rear axle with brackets welded to fit +4" width chassis (fits the above chassis).
This was an early +4" GTS axle, as such the panhard rod and shock mount points are not fitted - the panhard rod, mount point and rose joint are
included but need welding (so you can make it fit your chassis!). It's also unpainted and has light surface rust. £75 ish?
4x refurbed, painted Nissan Bluebird trailing arms and bushes, 2x unpainted rusty ones - to suit this chassis and de dion axle. £20
All round bits
SOLD: GTS adjustable height shock kit
GTS polybush set, enough for 9 bushes including crush tubes, brackets, nyloc nuts, bolts, washers (but only one wishbone tube - to make up the panhard
rod for the de dion). About £30?
SOLD: Various lengths of steel stock
Spare flapper MAF sensor for Rover V8 EFI, think it works.. £10
Spare dizzy and coil pack for Rover V8, I remember there were a few versions of these but can't remember which this is (not the stuff fitted to
the engine). May work! £10
SOLD Ford RS steering wheel
General Junk (free to a good home)
5x Sierra OEM alloys with very old tyres that shouldn't be used. Need a good clean.
Clutch slave cylinder for LT77 gearbox, needs a rebuild
Brake master cylinder from cortina I think.. possibly the Sierra. See photos, pretty rusty, maybe useful for a recon exchange or something?
Wiring looms for cortina and sierra.
Instruments for Rover V8, mechanical speedo and battery/oil pressure/temp/fuel cluster. I think I have another set of these in the loft too.
Phew
I think that's about it for now. Reply and or u2u, I'll look at post times to try and arbitrate who bagsies things first.

Last BUMP before this stuff goes on ebay or gets thrown out. Various things still haven't gone; bushes, bolts, chassis, engine, cortina uprights
and brakes..
No sensible offers refused, or they'll be on eBay soon.
