Anyone in East Anglia want a cheap runaround? (needs work!)
My wife's 2000 X-reg Daewoo Matiz Se+ has its MOT in a couple of weeks - and it's not going to pass unless work is done to it. Mostly,
this is:
Door sills - both sides need patching due to rust.
Other non-MOT-related issues:
Brakes - work well enough for MOT (probably), but I can feel 'ABS pattering' in the pedal - probably a sensor or ring somewhere. No
warning light though.
The gear linkage is getting a bit sloppy.
The carpets are worn out next to the clutch pedal.
Apart from that, it's running OK. It's not economic sense for me to get these problems fixed, so it's a case of sell it or scrap
it. Maybe someone who's handy with cars can sort it economically and run it for a year or two.
Otherwise it's not in too bad a state - and it's only done approx 46,000 miles in 10 or 11 years! Comes with working air con, ABS (note
issue mentioned above), central locking, decent Sony radio/CD, good tyres, etc.
So, if anyone's interested, £250.
