Westfield Narrow body Se Race Rolling chassis reduced price
hi guys,
having only owned this for a week and a bit im not happy about having to sell ti but the initial ideas i had were a bit out of my reach lol
what ive got is a narrow body westfield SE Race chassis built in 1995 and confimed to be genuine
it is (or will be) at a sort of roling chassis stage
its fitted with
avo coilovers all round (will be once ive got the new one to replace a missing one)
rosejointed front upper wishbones for easily adjustable camber and castor etc
cortina front uprights
m16 callipers and braided lines and solid discs
new escort 2.25turns lock to lock quick rack ally rack mounts and new track rod ends
14inch ford escort rs2k wheels (mk4 or 5 i think ) with 4 very nearly new yoko ao48 tyres and a 5th alloy as the spare
alloy fuel tank
floor mounted pedals with new bias assembly inc master cylinders for the brakes (which will be all plumbed in ad working)
rosejointed clutch linkage for type 9 (incl with alloy bellhousing)
Rebuilt type 9 Gearbox
come with prop aswell and the gearbox and prop will be mounted and mated up to the rear axle (no lsd )
ally panneling is done and it comes with some westfield narrow body bodywork will need a new bonnet (or a big scoop ... ) and the passenger side
side pannel will need attention.
nosecone is fitted with indicators and westfield grille also got a bootbox
welded RAC roll bar and a rosejointed stay that goes to the passenger footwell (perfect for a track toy for that extra bit of protection but easily
removeable for normal driving)
comes with a screeen and uprights but the glass need sreplacing also comes with a spare scuttle that has a heater and wipers fitted to it
and will have a 1.3 x flow fitted for mock up purposes its a complete engine of unknown condition and the 4 branch manifold and the rest of the
exhaust system.
polished ally stone gaurds ont he rear arches aswell its got westfield seats in it and i think ive got some harness's for it too
There are a few othe rbits that i havent mentioned spare scuttle with heater wipers and wiper motors for the screen fuel filter etc etc etc
and as you know i paid £1595 for this not long ago but since i can no longer go ahead with it for other reasons i am prepared to take a bit of a hit
and will take £1450 for it !
if no takers in a week it will be offered in bits
it needs some time spent putting it together and drop a hot xflow in it for a track toy or put it through the sva and have a westfield to drive around
in i will be uploading a load of pics this evening

Andrew,
Looks a bit odd as if it hasn't been SVA'd then how come it has a number plate?

SVA is not that hard, quite a fair numnber of us on heere have been trhough it and passed, some more than once!!
unlike me, you are starting with good material - a westfield - so with a bit of though, ingenuity it can get through SVA and what bits you don;t need,
can be removed for use on the track.
obviously if you want to be racing now, then this car is no use to ya and you should be looking at a ready built one.

I thought you gave up beer?

know what you mena - I was in same boat but raised my steering columns which helpd a lot - required a new dash plus other fabrication.
fitting GRP seats gains a couple of inches but I am ok with my ones - that wold have been the last resort.
It is always a shame to let go a bargain but I guess if it don't fit, there is not much you can do about it, well, not wihout some major
chopping.

Ah... You need a Viento
It solved the problem for me
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Did you try fitting into it with low sided seats? Might save yourself a lot of trouble. You don't want to lose money on this!
