Hi Caber,
The engine came complete with a stick welder unit. I bought it intending to replace the DC generator with a 3 phase alternator.
When I got it it was running but was blowing from one of the head gaskets. I stripped it to replace the head gasket how ever I have now been given a
new Kubota which is now going on the alternator.
Suspect the head gasket blew because the cowling for ducting cooling air from the fan is missing. Never to keen to keep things simple I decided to pop
the barrels off while I had the heads off and give the engine a good clean. However I broke one of the scraper rings when I was putting the barrells
back on.
So it doesn't run at the moment needs 1 piston ring and a pair of head gaskets (I was going to make them out of a piece of copper which you can
have if you want it).
Had I been able to get it going again FOC I would have "found" a use for it but I'm not wasting any more time sorting something I
don't need.

Don't know if the backplates will fit but your welcome to try them if you want.
Cheers

I was thinking the Petter might work for a boat but I think it is too small if it was for a welder
I need to research the backplates a bit more will get back to you ASAP!
