Hi Matt
I'm curious about the difference between the pads - having looked at the friction versus temp graphs the smart pad sits between M1144 and M1155,
so where do the M1144 out perform i.e. feel etc...
I've already got M1144 in my sierra calipers and don't want to take a step backwards in performance.

they are and the geometry is supposed to be a bit better hence why im using escort front end and sierra irs rear end (all be it with a freelander
diff)
the biggest problem is find them as they are getting rare now (especially is you want the rs ones which are supposed to be the best one to used)

Following that tangent...
Escort RS are basically the same as capri (all models), so are fairly plentiful on e-bay and probably elsewhere.
The steering arms for these are bolt-on and are expensive (i.e. £40 a pair) if they are not included. The earlier (mk1 3 litre) hubs are a bit
heavy.
The only confusion with using these is that you need RS TRE's to interface with a standard escort steering rack.

Interesting to see some other Fury front upright setups, I've also get escort ones on mine.
Have to agree the guys in the workshop are very helpful, have often popped in there for a chat about various problems. The benefit of living 4 miles
from there

I am guessing these will have a lot more stopping power than the standard Sierra calipers I have on my Viento.
Also, what are the pros and cons of these solid disks rather than the standard vented Sierra ones?
(Seriously tempted, just need to find some money first )

I don't think the outright stopping power is really that much different but there is a large weight saving.
Ditto vented vs solid as on a light car such as most of these (certainly BEC's) vented disks are overkill and may take a while to come up to
temperature.
Its all unsprung weight as well so benefits in handling to be had.

Oh feck, this is just the group-buy I'm looking for but I'm unsure what I need!
For a while I've been looking to buy both front and rear brake kits for my Luego Velocity but have been unsure what to purchase.
As I didn't build the car people have told me that the Velocity is based on the Sierra donor.
It already has discs on the rear so I'm not sure which kit I need for my rear?
Aaargh!
Any Luego nuts out there know what I need before placing the order?

After receiving a u2u from se7ensport at 11am yesterday I rang Rally Design around 11.30am and ordered mine.
Didn’t expect them for a couple of days but they arrived today just before 12am now that’s what I call customer service well done Rally Design
Thanks to se7ensport for organising this top man!!!!!
All I’ve got to do now is find the time to fit them amongst all the other jobs not finished yet

Two things I've noticed...
1 .It's a shame the Wilwood logos look different front to rear
2. I'm struggling to get the hand brake cable through the threaded bar and nipples supplied with the kit. Did anyone else order the rear kit plus
cable?
