Caterham 6 speed gearbox

I have a Caterham 6 speed, all alloy, close ratio gearbox for sale.

It was new in February last year (2007) and has completed few miles since.

It was fitted to a C400 Superlight Duratec race car that has never been road registered and was subsequently replaced with a Quaife 6 speed sequential dog-engaged box as the driver was not keen on synchro boxes having used sequentials for some time.

It is in perfect condition, no leaks, clean shifts, no noises etc.

I drove the car round silverstone on a track day just before the box was removed and it is perfect.

Asking £1200 or near offer, U2U me and I'll give you my phone number

Don't know but if it would be a straight swap for my type9 i'd be very tempted...

In theory yes - but you'll need to check the bell housing. I can give NSDev (he doesn't live far away & it was his originally) a cast iron bell housing for a type 9 to zetec / pinto / crossflow.

I will check but it certainly looks like type 9 fitment in terms of prop spline and belhousing bolt pattern.

Will let you know as soon as I can get it checked
